All people of all abilities and genders are welcome in Yoga & Co.’s classes.

Yoga & Co. is about empowering everyone to honor their bodies and come as you are. Perfection isn’t a part of yoga, yoga is an ongoing practice, not a task to perfect and complete. There’s no need to be perfect every day and we want your workout to match your needs for that day.

Yoga & Co. is a big believer in the power of positive thought and using yoga as a way to strengthen the mind as well as the body. We want everyone who takes one of our classes to walk away in bliss of a calm body and mind with a renewed sense of the soul.

No yoga class or practice is ever the same. My favorite part of having a yoga practice is changing your flow to meet what you need for that day. For this reason, I incorporate different yoga flows into my various classes and workshops.

yoga and co vinyasa yoga

Vinyasa, also called flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together, is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga. ... In vinyasa yoga, each movement is synchronized to a breath. The breath is given primacy, acting as an anchor as you move from one pose to the next.

Vinyasa has both physical and mental benefits. Physically, sweat releases toxins and re-energizes our bodies. Mentally, the synchronized breathing relaxes the chatter of the mind and helps to release any blockage of energy flow throughout our bodies.

yoga and co yin yoga

Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time—for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more.

Yin yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility as the poses stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas. It also helps us to regulate the body's flow of energy.
