Meditative Movement Donation Based // Sarah Ramus

This class is all about letting yoga do you, not the other way around. We often have ideas and expectations of what class is or should be, be prepared to leave them at the door.

Meditative Movement class will offer you, your body, and your mind a release. We will slow flow through breathwork, mindfulness, meditations, and a movement practice designed to help you release, relax, meditate, and bring awareness and compassion to your body, mind, and sense of self.

Music and mood will dictate flows, movement sequences may be repeated many times in succession, poses may be held to help you find and release your edges, and finally settling into a restorative savasa where reflection on the meditation will be common and encouraged.

**The heart behind this class is that when we practice yoga we have an opportunity to use our movements as a mirror for how we approach our lives off of our mats. So the moving meditation allows us to face our challenges in a safe space, allows us little victories, allows us time and space to breath and to move forward, to hold on and to let go, to vinyasa and wipe the slate clean.

All levels are welcome and invited. Come share your love of the practice with us!

Sarah is an international yoga facilitator who shares her love of the practice in every way. She has traveled, trained and taught internationally, most notably in India, Mexico, and the US.

She serves by offering spiritually inquisitive and philosophically curious classes that allow the movement on our mats to become the meditation our minds and spirits need. Expect to see elements of Ashtanga Inspired Vinyasa, Hatha, Slow flow, slow and stretchy feel good poses, yin, and The Rocket vinyasa. Sarah's classes will also often include meditation, breathwork, yoga education, alignment cues, philosophy and probably some poorly timed jokes. Check Class descriptions for more details.

After breaking a leg skateboarding in Mexico (where she was teaching most recently) she is currently back in her hometown of Des Moines, and only for a short time. She wishes very much to continue sharing her love of the practice here at Yogaco.
