Spring In with Yin // Flow & Soundbath with Jess Evans

Have you noticed the beauty in nature, as spring has welcomed the sprouting of new growth? Green has now canvased the land and life has emerged from hibernation. Fresh fragrances fill the air and warmth stimulates the desire to move. Are you still feeling “stuck” from the dormant winter spell? Ready to tend to the garden of your body and mind and cultivate a fruitful yield for self?

Join Jess as she guides you through a yin sequence to inspire personal flourishing and growth. Release congestion that has settled in the body and make room for spring and summer’s bounty! This practice was designed as an irrigation system of the soul. Cleanse and clear, root within, and nourish your essence. This event will consist of an hour long yin-focused flow, followed by a 30 minute sound bath. This should help clear negative energies released, then infuse positive energies where lacking. You will leave feeling balanced, relaxed, and refreshed!

This deeply healing and rejuvenating blend of restorative yoga, meditation and sound healing promotes better deep, restful sleep, feelings of inner peace and overall well being. Meditation is a grounding practice which helps you to know yourself better, appreciate yourself and others more. Let the gentle melodies of Crystal singing bowls, chimes & other instruments wash over you, enveloping you in a symphony of harmonious vibrations. Each tone resonates with the energy centers of your body, releasing tension, clearing blockages, and restoring balance to your mind, body, and spirit.

~Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing. You want to be as comfortable as you can. I highly recommend bringing a pillow and warm socks & pjs. Climbing Kites Chill Out Party

Welcome to the chillest “calm down” party out there, hosted every last Friday of the month at Yoga & Co! Take a break from electronics, to-do lists, stress & expectations. A mandatory phone stack will take place as you enter a space to reset & relax. You will be provided with a variety of ways fun to enjoy Climbing Kites or a n/a beverage of your choice. Spend an hour giving yourself a much deserved break with other cool humans who just want to vibe out.

Expect a fun flow to match the mood of the group, meditation to release stress, negativity and anxiety with a soothing sound bath to take you out of this world and into a state of calm & joy. Essential oils, towels & more will be used for the ultimate relaxing experience. Some nights we might draw, paint or journal, everything will always be provided. We have mats, props & all the things you need to chill out. You’re welcome to bring anything that helps you relax deeper.

YOD stands for Your Own Determination. It is a power yoga class that combines intentional movement and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to challenge you and stretch you mentally, physically and emotionally. You get the yoga vibes combined with a rigorous, fast-paced workout. YOD is designed to hit every aspect of your physical fitness, while creating mindfulness, and awareness of your body. It incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, power, endurance, agility and coordination.

Join the fun outdoors for yoga on the grass at Jasper Winery! This free session is hosted by the 2024 Des Moines Women’s Half Marathon. All are welcome to join a free yoga session and meditation to kick-off the races and expo from Riproar Events! The session will be a powerful way to connect the mind & body and experience relaxation. Wall Pilates is a variation that uses your body weight and the resistance of a wall to work your muscles and improve your flexibility. Unlike regular Pilates, you don't need any fancy equipment. Kick off your Saturday with every Des Moiniac's favorite weekend activity: yoga & brunch of course! Brunch brings us together, yoga brings you to yourself & it's all going to an amazing cause. Meet us on the mat to fill your glass, heart, and appetite with a fun community! After class enjoy the mocktail/mimosa bar & donut holes included with ticket. Yoga for all-levels will be led by Lindsay Bordwell of Yoga & Company. Lindsay is a big believer in the healing and transformative powers of yoga, meditation and mindfulness. Yoga & Co. is all about authentic yoga and mindful events in beautiful, contemporary spaces throughout Des Moines.
