Come and receive the heart opening medicine of Cacao, guided movement practice focused on the heart space, followed by an rejuvenating sound bath. Focused on cleaning and clearing out any energy that is no longer serving you, and bringing you back to center.
Cacao has been used by the Mayans in Ceremony for thousands of years. Cacao has a multitude of medicinal properties on its own, offering Iron, magnesium, zinc, calcium, protein, and healthy fats.
Olive has sourced this Cacao from a women's collective in Guatemala and carried it back to share with us here. During preparation, she will add additional spices and herbs to aid our immune system along with loving intentions. During this ceremony you'll have the opportunity to infuse your own personal intention for our time together, remembering the medicine of Cacao stays with you for the next 14 days, which is why it is so beautiful to use this medicine with the moon cycle.
After taking some time with our cacao, we will move into a simple, slow breath and movement practice to warm our bodies and get some energy flowing. Meditating and moving from the heart space, making space to connect with our deepest desires. These postures are suitable for all and can be modified in a chair if necessary.
Finally, we will close with a sound healing journey. Feel free to bring blankets and props to support you here or use some of ours. Most will find a savasana position, but any way you feel comfortable is perfectly fine. Olive will begin to use the Crystal bowls to move energy throughout our bodies, incorporating water instruments, chimes, flute, gong, and her voice through medicine songs, and gentle guidance back to the breath, or focusing on different parts of the body. Sound healings can be very powerful, allow yourself to rest, and receive here without judgement of what comes up.
Post Sound Journey we will have some time for reflection, then clean up and enjoy the rest of the day!
